## How to play

### Goal

Two sides, two different games. The four tigers win by eating five goats. The twenty goats win by shutting every tiger in so that none of them can move.

### How to Play

• Goats go first, placing one goat a turn onto any empty point
• Tigers move on their turns from the start, one step along a line
• A tiger eats a goat by jumping straight over it to the empty point beyond
• Once all twenty goats are down they move one step a turn as well
• Keyboard: arrows move the marker, Space picks up and puts down, Z undoes

### Rules

• Pieces move one step along a drawn line — the diagonals are only on alternate points, so look before you count on one
• A tiger jumps in a straight line, over exactly one goat, landing on the empty point directly beyond
• Only one goat per jump, and no chaining another after it
• Goats never jump and never take anything
• A side that cannot move at all loses

### Tips

• Goats: never leave a goat with an empty point directly behind it in line with a tiger
• Goats should advance as a block; a lone goat pushed forward is just a meal
• Tigers should keep to the middle, where a point joins eight others instead of three
• Tigers: taking a goat is not always right — a jump can leave you in the corner the goats wanted you in

### Game Over

The tigers win the moment their fifth goat is eaten. The goats win the moment no tiger can move. Fifty turns with nothing eaten and no goat arriving is a draw.
