Release highlights

New

Switch between Arcade and Classic in Settings. Classic brings back the original look, its fifteen color themes and the way every board used to move.

New

Share Bingo and Housie tickets as a link that opens in any browser, or as an image, and validate a claim from the board with a ticket's code.

Improved

Arcade is calmer: color marks what you picked and the main action, and the named themes are back as presets.

Improved

Nonogram boards are never mirrored, ask for more reasoning, and take a mark the moment you touch a cell.

Fixed

Win, record and timer sounds no longer go silent after returning to the app, and quizzes respond again after Play Again.

Fixed

Tetra Blocks swipes land where you aim, a Backgammon turn ends when you tap Done, and a finished card deal can no longer be undone.

1. Arcade or Classic

Game Nest now comes in two styles, and you can switch between them at any time in Settings → Preferences. The welcome tour asks which one you prefer.

  • Classic brings back the look Game Nest had before the arcade update, with its fifteen color themes. Every board and card table moves the way it used to, without the effects added since.
  • Arcade is calmer. Color now marks the option you picked and the one main action, not every key.
  • Arcade's appearance settings gain the named themes, Pixie to Sky Blue, as presets beside Light, Dark and Custom. Each style remembers what you last chose in it.
  • Classic's card tables show a covered card's index alone, and its statistics are laid out like Arcade's.

2. Share Bingo and Housie tickets

  • Share tickets as a link or an image. A link opens in any browser with no app needed, and the numbers can be marked right there.
  • Share All sends one link for the whole set, and a Housie book travels as a single code.
  • Validate a claim from the board: enter a ticket's code to see exactly what it has won.
  • Housie codes are now ten digits, easy to read aloud and type on a keypad.
  • Housie tickets are laid out like printed ones, without long runs of numbers in a row.

3. Sharper play

  • Nonogram: boards are never mirrored, give away fewer cells and ask for more reasoning at every level. A mark lands the moment you touch a cell, a slow press no longer places the wrong mark, and the Medium board has its full outline.
  • Brick Breaker: the game keeps getting harder after level 16, with steel bricks, four-hit bricks and hazard capsules that shrink the paddle or speed up the ball. Bricks pay more for chains and speed, clearing a level pays a bonus, and the new scoring starts on a fresh leaderboard.
  • Tower Stack: the perfect-drop window narrows on a steady schedule instead of collapsing mid-run, and the speed keeps climbing gently.
  • Tetra Blocks: a side swipe no longer runs past the column you aimed at, and a swipe down drops the piece where you aimed.
  • Patience: Yukon, Freecell and Baker's Dozen tell you when a game can no longer be won, even while moves remain. Solitaire can keep its deck on the left, and a finished deal can no longer be undone.
  • Backgammon: a turn ends when you tap Done, and never stalls.

4. Fixes

  • Win, game-over, record and timer sounds no longer go silent after you return to the app, and a re-imported custom sound plays the new clip.
  • Quizzes respond again after Play Again.
  • Minesweeper's custom-board number pad can be put away without closing the dialog.
  • On iPad, board game controls sit at the screen edges; two-player games restart in one tap, and Dots & Boxes clears properly on restart.
  • The Favourites count follows every star in the hub, and the opening tile reveal plays even on a slow start.

5. Crash reports

Game Nest now sends crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics so problems can be found and fixed. A report carries the technical details of the failure, the device and app version, the display style and the screens opened just before it. It never includes your display name, scores, saves, imported photos or sounds, or purchase details. See the privacy policy for the full list.
