Game Nest Data Deletion Guide
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Game Nest does not require a traditional account, but it stores data on your device and uses pseudonymous identifiers for limited cloud features. The steps below explain what each deletion option actually removes.
For help or a complete cloud-data request, email voythrix@gmail.com.
Before you delete anything
- In Game Nest, open Settings > Profile and record the 10-character Player ID. It helps us locate the pseudonymous cloud records for your installation.
- Export a backup if you want to keep eligible local scores and settings. Remember that a backup file is a separate copy that you must delete from its saved or shared destination yourself.
- If you have a renewable Pro subscription, cancel it separately in Apple App Store or Google Play settings. Data deletion does not cancel billing.
Do not email a password, payment-card number, store password, full purchase token, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
1. Delete leaderboard scores in the App
Use this when you want to remove your public leaderboard profile and submitted scores while keeping the rest of the App.
- Open Game Nest.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Data & Storage.
- Tap Delete Scores.
- Confirm.
If an online session exists, this requests deletion of the backend leaderboard user record associated with its Player ID. Related leaderboard score rows, the legacy public display mapping, and private migration snapshots are removed. The App also clears its local global-leaderboard cache and makes any future score sync ask for a preferred public name again. If no online session exists, there is no cloud leaderboard profile to delete and the App only clears the local leaderboard state.
It does not:
- delete multiplayer room records;
- end the anonymous Auth session or remove the protected ownership record used to prevent a deleted legacy ID being reclaimed;
- erase local game progress, preferences, Personal Game Studio media, or Pro Insights;
- reset the installation identifier or Player ID;
- cancel a subscription; or
- delete Apple, Google, RevenueCat, email, backup, or sharing-destination records.
The current in-app flow requires an internet connection. If the request fails, your cloud scores may remain; retry or email us.
2. Request complete Game Nest cloud-data deletion
Use this for the broadest deletion of cloud data controlled by Game Nest, including the Player-ID mapping and eligible leaderboard and multiplayer records.
Email voythrix@gmail.com with:
- subject: Game Nest data deletion request;
- your 10-character Player ID;
- the player display name and country shown in the App, if available; and
- whether you want deletion only or also want a copy or correction of your data.
We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the records belong to your installation. After verification, we will delete or de-identify eligible active records and respond within the period required by applicable law. Some limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction disputes, backups, legal claims, or compliance with law.
If you no longer have the Player ID, email us with the display name, selected country, approximate dates, games, room details, or scores that may help identify the records. We may be unable to locate or safely delete pseudonymous records if they cannot be reliably linked to you.
3. Reset local App data
Use this when you want to clear most local progress and settings without clearing the App's entire operating-system storage container.
- Open Game Nest.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Data & Storage.
- Tap Reset All Data.
- Confirm.
This clears the App's Hive databases and preferences, including most local scores, progress, settings, cached leaderboard data, personalization references, and Pro Insights records.
Important limitations:
- The installation UUID is deliberately preserved.
- Cloud leaderboard, mapping, multiplayer, and purchase records are not deleted.
- Copied personalization photos or custom sound files may remain unreferenced in App storage.
- Files you exported or shared are separate copies and are not deleted.
- Operating-system or cloud backups may retain or later restore data.
4. Delete Personal Game Studio media
Use the delete controls in Personal Game Studio to remove individual imported photos or custom sounds while keeping other App data. Removing a sound assignment is different from deleting the copied sound file; use the Studio's delete action when available.
For the most complete removal of copied local media, use the operating-system storage option in the next section.
5. Clear app storage or uninstall
For the broadest local deletion:
- Android: use system settings for Game Nest and choose Clear storage/data, then uninstall if desired.
- iPhone or iPad: choose Delete App, not Offload App, if you want the local App container removed.
- Other supported platforms: remove the App and its data using the platform's application-storage controls.
This generally removes the App's local databases, preferences, copied photos and sounds, and temporary files from that device. It does not delete cloud records, cancel a subscription, remove store purchase history, or erase backups and exported/shared copies stored elsewhere.
If your device restores Game Nest from a backup, some local data may return. Manage those backups through your operating-system or backup provider.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Deleting Game Nest data does not cancel or refund a purchase.
- Manage or cancel renewable subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
- Request billing help or a refund through the store that processed the purchase.
- Store and RevenueCat transaction records may be retained for entitlement restoration, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, and legal obligations.
- A later Restore Purchases action may restore Pro access from store records even after local App data is deleted.
7. Data held by other services
A complete request to Game Nest covers eligible data under our control. It cannot automatically delete independent copies held by:
- Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Supabase, Vercel, Google Fonts, an email provider, or an internet provider where that provider controls its own logs or legally required records;
- apps, contacts, printers, cloud drives, or recipients you selected through the system share sheet;
- locations where you saved a backup, generated image, PDF, QR code, or other export; or
- your device or operating-system backup service.
Contact the relevant provider or delete the copy at its destination when you also want those records removed.
8. Retention reminders
- Completed multiplayer rooms are scheduled for deletion after 30 days.
- Abandoned active rooms are scheduled for deletion after 1 hour.
- Unused waiting rooms are scheduled for deletion after 30 minutes.
- Scheduled cleanup may not be instantaneous.
- De-identified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained.
