Spin a Bottle

Put the phone in the middle of the circle and let the bottle choose. Wherever the neck ends up pointing, that is who is up next — and a lit beam runs out from it so nobody can argue about which of them it meant.

• Tap the bottle, or the Spin button, to send it round
• It slows the way glass on a table does, and rocks a little before it settles
• The beam lights up along the neck once it has stopped
• Spin again from wherever it was left
• Space or Enter spins from a keyboard; Escape goes back

• Every direction is exactly as likely as every other — the bottle has no memory of where it landed last
• Lay the phone flat in the middle so everyone sees the same thing
• The bottle turns about its base, the way a real one does, so watch the neck and not the label
