How to play
emoji_eventsGoal
Be the first to walk your pawn all the way across to the far side of the board.
sports_esportsHow to Play
- On your turn either step one square or put down a wall
- Tap a marked square to step onto it
- Switch to Wall, tap the board to aim, rotate if you need to, then place
- The dotted trail is your shortest way home right now
- Keyboard: arrows step, M switches mode, R rotates, Space places, Z undoes
gavelRules
- Pawns move one square up, down, left or right — never through a wall and never diagonally
- If the other pawn is next to you, hop straight over it; if a wall is right behind it, go round either side instead
- Each wall is two squares long and sits in the grooves between squares
- Walls may not overlap or cross one another
- A wall may never seal a player off from their side completely — there is always a way through
lightbulbTips
- Walls are worth more later than sooner — once spent they never come back
- A wall that adds two steps to their route and none to yours is worth about two free moves
- Watch the two step counts: if you are ahead on steps, race; if you are behind, build
- A wall placed beside your own route can cost you more than it costs them
infoGame Over
The moment a pawn touches any square on the far row, that player wins. There are no draws — someone always gets through.
